This afternoon I started feeling unwell and currently have a temperature of 38.7C, no cough or loss of smell but a banging headache. NHS Inform says isolate for 10 days but when my partner gets back from the shops I'm going to try and get a swab test. Hopefully it's just a bit of heatstroke.....

"I think I might have Covid, so my partner has gone to the shop"

Pretty silly decision, really. I hope you don't have it or your partner could well have caused a fair bit of damage.

Hope you feel better soon. We'll all be isolating at some point over the winter if the advice is the same.

We better hope we’re not, or we’re all going to have significantly shorter lifespans due to the long lasting effects. It’s possible and required to stop it spreading.

Long lasting effects of lockdown or of suspecting that there's a chance you might have covid-19?

Long term effects of having Covid. You know the ones I’ve been banging on about for months. There’s currently evidence of permanent Kidney damage and heart damage, along with the obvious lung damage.

That isn't what redstone was talking about is it? I was under the impression he was saying we will all have to self isolate a few times over winter if we catch colds and flu as the advice is you must stay home for 10 days if you get the symptoms of those common viruses

Oh I see. My apologies you’re right.

I was thinking he was saying we’ll all catch it at some point.

We better hope a vaccine stops it coming to that. Mainly because if life doesn't go back to normality soon with furlough coming to an end and a no deal Brexit being a possibility then we are going to be in a horrible mess.

Update, temperature has fallen to 37.8C and feel much better. Pretty sure it's nothing but still going to get a test if I can.

Hope you are well. 37.8°C is insane to me, never mind 38.7°C. I’ve never registered higher than 35.2°C on a thermometer yet!

We've been taking our temperatures regularly since March and I'm normally between 36.5C and 37.5C I must be hot stuff.....

Yes that's what I was saying, could be a long winter with many sick days for works places to deal with.

Got a test booked today at the Pirelli Stadium. Woke up in the night with a raging temperature.

The test was negative, I don't have COVID. I'm still quite unwell with high temperatures and headaches the likes of which I've never had before. I'll have to get to see my doctor now.

Get well soon. Probably good news you don't have COVID-19, but hope you get it sorted.
