I saw today another club's fanzine had done this. The best team of players who have played for them from 2010 to date.

    Who would everyone pick in theirs? Here's my effort;

    Luke Steele

    John Stones
    Alfie Mawson
    Ethan Pinnock
Bobby Hassell (cheating having him at left back)

    Jacob Butterfield
    Conor Hourihane
    Alex Mowatt
    Adam Hammill

    Oli McBurnie
    Sam Winnall

A few loan players in there I didn't think to put in largely because they never felt ours, Barnes James and Trippier. You could add Butland to that list. Dunno why but McBurnie felt more as though he was a Barnsley player.

    Golbourne

    Scowen
    Hourihane

    Hammill

    Winnall

Mine’s certainly not the most talented 11 but I’ve tried to include players who were here a while over lads like McBurnie & Drinkwater who gave us 3 or 4 months.

Also gone with players who did well for us in the championship over ones that did well for us in league one or left before they played for us in the championship e.g. Golbourne over White & Roberts over Mawson.

Obviously Scowen wasn’t a right winger but he played there a few times for us & always did a great job.

If it was talent alone then Stones, Drinkwater & McBurnie would be in there & maybe Mawson as well.

Just curious why people are choosing McBurnie ?

As much as I loved him though, he only scored 9 goals for us.

Goals per game ratio and how he almost single handedly kept us up in just four months with us. He's also a premier league international.

Perkins and Dawson weren't great but both were triers and generally gave their all be it Perkins with his energy from the amount of running about he did or Dawson with his heavy tackles. Got to replace those two with Shea and Frimpong.

Davies, Roberts, Foster, Potts, O'Brien, Butterfield, Watkins, Bradshaw & Moore on a bloated bench.

Not based on current ability or reputation - I didn't think that was the point of the 'best XI of the decade'.
