    Daughter says Frieser for his hair as no one is getting it for their football skills. I'm slightly less severe than that and will go with Brittain.

    Walton did ok but really ought to have been sent off in my view - or at the very least a lot of refs would have red carded him, rightly or not.

    James was tidy but Brittain was the only one I thought warranted the award

    I honestly can’t think of anyone to be honest. I don’t think Brittain got any change out of his opposite number, hopefully no midweek game this week will do him good, as he must need a rest unless he’s a robot.

    James probably the only one that can say he did the job asked of him while he was on. The rest showed plenty of effort, but they were just a bit better

    One thing I have noticed about the player of the season voting on here is it is usually spot on in terms of naming the 3 players who had the most impact on the game. Even in a fairly dour defeat the 3 that have the votes here were the best.
