Apparently picked up a knock midweek anyone else think he will struggle to get back in pinnilos played well today imo
Obviously not nice him taking a knock but we can’t expect him to come in with his lack of experience and be consistently good so a rest probably did him good, just whether a choice of Pinillos and Williams is good enough if we go up
Pinillos everyday of the week for me, more experience and the two previous games without him we’ve been poor...
It's good to have competition for the LB position, I thought Pinnilos had a couple of poor games early on in the season but he's got better and better as the season has progressed. He took his chance today and had a good game, however Ben Williams has played well the last couple of games before today, it will be interesting to see how Stendel goes with the team selection when both are fit.
I thought Pinillos was sound today, as he usually is, he's first choice but Ben has been superb deputising. I hope he returns sharpish and keeps pushing Daniel for that position.
Seems a lot of people like Williams and I think he’s played well when he’s come in. Apart from that one game, was it Luton at home? But for me Pinillos is far better. Not the quickest but is very comfortable on the ball and looks solid defensively. I would like to see Woodrow’s offside goal again today as it was a good cross from Dani. Good to have these options at left back.
Yeah, on another day he could’ve definitely had a couple. Against Rochdale I thought he was poor but scored his goal. Today, I thought he was good but didn’t put the ball in the net. As long as he’s contributing positively, it’s all good.
The thing that made me think he might not be offside is he's a good striker, and no good striker should ever be offside from a first time ball across
I’ve a lot of time Williams and I think he’ll make a great full back in time. But It’s not true to say he Played well in the last couple of games though. Great game against Rochdale but an an awful game at Oxford. I felt for him at that game because it was his turn to suffer from the lack of experience/leadership in the side. By that I mean, any experienced player would have told Thiam to get his finger out and get back and give the lad some help. It never happened. To be fair to Ben, he was in good company. I don’t think i’ve Seen the back four have such a dreadful game all season. If it wasn’t for Davies, they would have stuck six past us that night.
