Real Madrid through with a 97th minute penalty and Buffon sent off in the 93rd minute after Juventus went into a 0-3 lead... Would we have ever got a penalty in that position?
The pen was taken at the time you said but it was after a lengthy delay - it was awarded in about 91st min I think. It was a penalty and Buffon was in the ref's face afterwards, which is understable given the shock ending to the game, but he had to go. Love Buffon too so big shame he had to finish like that.
It was the 93rd min. Wasn’t a pen. Or if it is it isn’t one the club we support would get, but every away team would. Totally understand Buffon losing his shift. That’s his last champions league app ruined. Looked a yellow T worst for him tbh. Ref had a total shocker. Comes as a total surprise from a premier league ref. Oh wait.....
Whether pen or not, cant get in ref's face like that. I can understand why he did it and im sure id have probably acted the same but he has to go.
Penalty or not, he’s got in his face screaming and probably swearing. Had to go. As for the penalty, you can’t say he got it wrong. A tad soft and you’d imagine some wouldn’t have given it. But you can’t say that it was a clear ref error, it wasn’t.
