Why are you saying he was blowing after 5 minutes when he went down with a serious injury after 2 mins? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I really like the look of Payne. But, my God, he looked lost when we didn't have the ball. Things like just knowing where to stand when we're defending a corner. That can be taught, though, and he has a lot about him in an attacking sense. Injury came at a bad time for him - he was getting off the bench and showing flashes of being very good.
Not sure that we need that all the time, but it would certainly be good to have the option. I thought Winnall worked his nuts off again yesterday, as he did against Bristol City, but he's getting kicked from pillar to post with little or no protection from referees. He's getting elbowed and stamped on and we're not even getting the free kicks. Could do with some height and strength up front to take the pressure off him, to give the opposition centre halves some back and to allow Winnall to feed off the flick ons instead of continually trying to win the headers himself. Don't want to see us play that way all the time, but in some games you have to. Yesterday being a case in point.
Why did you say we didn`t have a touch in first 20 mins of second haif when clearly Davies took a goal kick from one of their missed chances.
Yeah, felt for Sam yesterday, especially when we swapped Armstrong for Scowen. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Only seen Payne a few minutes on pitch , hopefully he will be our target man option in games when needed
