3-0 up at Luton. So after Next Saturday we will have played all 5 games against top 10 teams. Bit of a rough start be good if we can get 3 points though 1 wouldn’t be a disaster
Be a very tough game against a team who will be organised and disciplined. Typical championship side but can't see them playing a lot of football under Bowyer!
6 points from 5 going into the break wouldn’t be a disaster, given the issues with player availability. They won’t give us much to press against, I can see it being like the Luton game where they let us keep the ball and try and get us on the break.
Totally agree with this. I expect them to be just as physical if not more so than Luton and it'll be a good test to see how much the team have learned from that game. Keeping it tight and not giving them an early goal would be a good start.
Certainly an eye catching result, but has absolutely no bearing on next week's game. How many times do you see teams dish out a hammering, only to flop in the next game?
How the fvck did Luton go from a team that had our number on Tuesday, to whatever they were doing today?
Two sides open in their own ground. Fans thinking at least I'll get a ticket for Barnsley as you can get 5,000-7,000 there in past years. They win 5 nill and can only bring 2,000. It's pretty funny.
I'm so glad Luton got a tonking. I bet they weren't going down injured to spoil the play today. Horrible team with a horrible manager with horrible tactics. I hope not to see them at Oakwell next (or any other ) season.
To be fair, we smashed Luton up last season to the extent that their manager said of us: these are brutal. We were, and I was proud of it.
Apart from when we played them in the play off semi they have rarely topped 2000 , but if they want to bring a cartload they will have to bring their own stewards
