I very nearly had my lunch in here today. Been at Guys Hospital this morning and had a walk round Borough market after. Been in this place quite a few times.

Can these nutjobs just leave this wonderful little market alone now. Unbelievable how there are people with the capacity to main, injure and hurt.

Wow, too close for comfort mate.

I still look back to the 7/7 attacks. At the time, I worked for a company whose head office was down in Raynes Park. Used to have Ops Team meeting first Thursday of each month. Used to get train from Wakefield at 7.13 and arrive Kings Cross around 9.00, hit the underground for the Victoria Line etc. That meeting was brought forward to the previous week, Thu 30th June 2005, due to senior staff leave. What might have been etc.

    Love Borough Market.

So sad that there are people out there with no respect for human life.

Yeah I lived and worked in the city at the time. Worked right next to liverpool street station (On broadgate circle if you know it - where they used to have the icerink in winter). We were inside the cordon at the time. A blackpool fan I worked with was on his way to work and was on the bus behind the tavistock square one when it exploded. He ran all the way home to somewhere in north london he was that scared.

One thing I remember is standing outside the ten bells pub on commercial street after work with a few people. All the roads had been closed. Was a really eerie atmosphere hanging over the place.

Cowardly cretins. When I was down in London on business I used to visit the Borough Market.
Also liked the places to eat in and around Covent Garden. There's a superb little French restaurant
on the upper floor. We also used a little place near Kings Cross when we were waiting for our train
back to Yorkshire. Turn left as you leave the Station, there's a crossing. Go over the road and in around 50 yards
there's a ginnel and the pub is down on the right. Do good reasonably priced bar meals and handpulled ales.

In this mornings Mirror. Confirming that envelopes not addressed to anyone by name
containing a corrosive based powder were delivered to the restaurant.
A police spokesperson has said they don't think the incident is terror related.
