Hmmmm Bit of a hard one for me, this one I've always been a fan of KH. Always said I would prefer watching KH teams rather than Robins or Daveys, and really enjoyed last season. BUT, having spent time with Bobby over the last 4 months, I've realised what a down-to-earth decent bloke he is, who does a hell of a lot for the local community, in his own time, and personally I think KHs treatment of him stinks. Maybe I am a little biased towards Bobby, but i think this shows just how pig-headed and stubborn KH is - traits i am led to beleive our also shared by our chairman. So be careful Keith - the club and fans are more important to PC than you and this could tip the balance. I've now lost the trust i had in our manager and beleive he is out of his depth My thoughts regarding Keiths comments in the article.........reminds me of one of favourite songs as a teenager by Thin Lizzy..... Don't believe a word No Don't believe a word Don't believe it, don't believe it Not a single word Hey, don't
Re: Hmmmm Bit of a hard one for me, this one He wouldnt do or say that if PC didnt agree. almost every week he says he talk to the owner and tells him the plans and he says he always is behind him.
You've lost my support on this one Keith. I think he's totally wrong. I support Hill through thick and thin, but I am questioning him deeply on this matter. Bobby is a better player than Wiseman will ever be. If midfield is his position then play Cranie at the back with Fozzie, drop Wiseman and play Bobby in midfield. You've got me doubting you over this judgement Keith after I've resolutely stuck with you and tried to see your reasoning over everything else to date. Yours, A disillusioned Mike Lowry.
I wasn't referring to his pay packet ,which I and you probably haven't a clue about other than footballers in general get paid far too much for the job they do. Hill hasn't really given Bobby a chance, I know you disagree but I think he has been and still is one of our best players, there are players playing regularly who are not as good as Bobby wether thats left, right, centre back or midfield and as the senior player at the club he deserves to be treated with more respect from a rookie championship manager who needs all the experienced committed players he can get .
I have a theory PC wants Bobby at the club (recognises his loyalty etc) KH wants Bobby out of the club (but realises he is a fans favourite) BH frustrated and wants to play football (prepared to go out on loan if necessary) KH keeps putting BH on bench with no intention of playing him (to keep PC sweet) KH says BH is part of his plans (but only as a midfielder vastly reducing the need to put him on the pitch) KH tells everyone he doesnt want Bobby to leave (this is the masterstroke - If BH leaves KH gets exactly what he wants whilst telling the fans 'This was against my wishes', keeping him in our good books. But if Bobby stays, KH will not be impressed but can still tell the fans 'He's staying cos i didnt want him to leave. WIN-WIN. KH knows this wont popular with fans (so waits until there is some good news (TUDGAY and the release of funds and promise of more players) then releases the bad news on the back of it to lessen the impact. KH is a *****
I simply cannot understand the logic in sending Bobby out on loan when he can play anywhere along back 4 and in midfield ie. a perfect back-up utility player. No doubt at all that Keith has his favourites (Wiseman & Golbourne have both been ever-present this season and other players dropped) and he is not managing this situation very well at all. If we continue on our bad run AND send Bobby out on loan, then he will definitely alienate a large % of REDS fans. You could compare it to Fergie sending Bryan Robson out on loan when he was in hos "later years" at MUFC......just would not happen. Maybe PC should have a "quiet word"?
Come on everybody for gods sake, Bobby for all his good service to the club has been well paid for his work. He has lost the pace that you need at this level, it happens, players move on and we replace them. Thanks Bobby,
I posted a few times on here recently that hassell is only good enough for midfield these days. But I know nowt
Money is not the debating point though. Fact is, in most peoples opinion, Bobby can still do a job at BFC. We are under-performing in defence and also Perkins (midfield) is out injured for 6 weeks...........Bobby can slot in any of these positions and has proved this time after time. So not the best idea to loan him out, especially when Keith is under pressure with results, sending his most loyal player out on loan is not exactly a shrewd move. My opinion.............that's all.
what part of my post is not common knowledge? Just joining all the dots. Could be way off, but in my mind it all seems to fit
i dont think it is. its just in past youve said you speak to the club captain and a lot of that could be seen as leaking info which could get someone in a lot of trouble. Just take a look at Iain Hume who may have leaked info.
It appears I'm way off the mark. See MattMurrays twitter feed. Bobby willing to stay and fight for his place and no feud.Leaving is a last resort.Think i'd be more inclined to believe Matt Murray than Keith Hill. But it makes me question why KH would come out and say all that
