But you also think Danny Rose and RNL are good enough for our 1st team

I think RNL Defo. Please don't start comparing the two of them. He's way in front of Hassell in front of talent but not work rate up to now.

Rose yes but not now everyweek. I think a loan would be good for him but last interview he did he said he didn't want to go out on loan.

Let's be right a degree of sentiment is included when we talk about our bobby. An adopted Barnsley lad who has turned down a big increase in wages from both dirty Leeds and palarse. A bloke who loves Barnsley and the town and the people more than quite often those born and bred here.

He may not have the pace he once did for right back but he would be more than able at centre half and in central midfield as the anchor.

He cannot be any worse than crainie has been the last couple of games and given that the team is crying out for someone to lead from the front bobby fits this to a t.

As for struggling to find a league one club in the summer. Of course he will. Hell get a new deal here as a player coach.

There is not a finer role model within the club for the youth team to help with their development. Ask John stones for example.

Role models don't win football matches. Talent players do.

Next season it'll get even harder in that central midfield too. He can't get in now.
We'll bring someone in there in the summer. Digby will be back we'll sign Abbott and maybe the more defensive lad who's name i've forgotten i would think. It's going to get tough in there.

Hemsworth, your brain and your typing finger appear somewhat estranged.

Re: You've lost my support on this one Keith.

Presumably, you weren't one of Bobby's MANY detractors when he was first signed by Paul Hart.

IMHO, the stick that Bobby got is very reminiscent of that currently dished out to Wiseman.

Agree. And the stick he got when playing in central midfield with Davey.

What makes you so sure Digby etc will be in the team?

Is it because they are local lads?

You're right, I mean if stellar international quality left back Jay McEveley can't even get a game at Swindon what hope has Bobby got?

at that time i actually was stood in the stands defending him at times.

ESL. The thoughts of Keith Hill are that hes the most talented youngster at the club and he wants him in there or thats what i understand. And i believe hes actually from Sheffield.

Hassell never had any real pace to begin with. I remember standing at Belle Vue when we lost 4-0 and he was an absolute bag of ***** - McIndoe cooked him for speed time and time again that day. But what he does have is a footballing brain, a good knowledge of the game and a cool head under pressure. He's improved over time and become vital to our side.

He's our best right back still.

Your take on bobby. He has never had pace and has always read the game well.
