    The thing that comes out of this is people saying he won't be used much next season. How can anyone say that? Couple of injuries and he could be playing 30+ games. I know his performances will be good enough to be in the team as they always have been. He proved last season he is still as good as any other cb we have. 70% reduction is ridiculous, insulting IMO.

    We want the club to be successful. We want ticket prices to be low. We want to offer players large wages.

    Choose two of the three.

    I can't understand why everyone's so upset about this. It's us as supporters that are financing their wages so if you're prepared to chip in extra so that Bobby can keep earning more than 99% on this forum then fair enough, but I'm not. There would be outrage if ST prices were £50 dearer than they are.

    Similarly how does anyone know that it isn't a 70% reduction is basic wage with a very generous appearance related pay package?

    Basically none of us know owt. And those that know summat only know bits.

    Regardless, it's still a 70% reduction, of that we can be sure.

    Damn phone, hadn't finished.

    Hopefully there will be some additions to the contract but why not say that? They have leaked the reduction to the public. Not been handled well at all.

    I never thought you were my friend. From what I`ve read Steele looks like he would be a good shot stopper and nowt else for Athersley Rec and Hassell didn`t do much last season and he wont get many games anyway so why pay him at all.
