    So they're going to close schools after bringing the kids back for one day to marinate them in covid after being off for 2 weeks.

    If ever there was an illustration of how the Government doesn't have a ******* clue or any sort of cogent plan then this is it.

    Is there anything at all this govt can't manage to make so much worse than it needs to be?

    Scotland: make decision, communicate decision and put into effect at midnight. You've got the rest of the day to work out any implications.

    England: announce some kind of action may come soon in the morning, announce decision will be announced later in the afternoon, leak decision to press in the evening, hold press conference at 8pm. You then either have a couple of hours to work through the implications for tomorrow, or a couple of days with everyone cramming into supermarkets.

    What annoys me about Bojo's briefings, is when he says he is following the scientific and medical guidance. When in actual fact the the scientific and medical guidance is varied and Bojo is 'cherry-picking' the guidance to suit a predetermined agenda.

    The problem is they are still working out what to say and do till 8. I haven't seen a decision yet by the gov under the criticise that looks like its throughs through well with implications having at least a response. When they do decide on a way forward they change it again quickly. There isn't a proactive plan in truth, just a set of reactions that try to keep London protected. It backfired focussing on keeping London open and we all will suffer now.
