There was a time when I was hacked off good and proper if we got drawn away at Preston on Boxing day.

Now - as I have children - I'm more than relieved.

    Just a thought.

Always a good one for me as my brother lives in Preston. Combine a trip over to see him with the game.

That one a few years back we were quite relieved as it was very icy on his estate, we checked teletext just before planning to leave the house and then just grabbed a beer!

I remember that, I was about 10 miles outside Preston when it was called off! Came off the motorway, turned round and drove straight home. M6 was like an ice rink that day as well.

    The b*stards.

Their website comfirmed there was no problems and the game was defo on at around 10-30 that morning after pitch inspection, travelled all the way there to be told along with other reds and Preston fans that the game was postponed due to icy roads and pavements around the ground that had been in that condition for days before the game.

Tw@t in charge of Preston refused to take phone calls, answer e-mails and snail mail on the subject. Utter lovely person and utter cnutish club and that was pre Wiseman/ Grayson.
