Started watching this but turned it off after 15 minutes of watching Man City slowly pass backwards and sideways like Barnsley albeit with more accuracy and less panic. 70% possession with no real penetration. Just looked at the latest score and they're 3-0 up. It's a funny old game, can't help but think there'd be shouts to get it upfield if we played like that for the first 15 minutes on Saturday.

Difference us they've got players who are accustomed to and capable of playing that style, our defenders don't have the confidence or ability to knock the ball around like that.

    You missed their 3rd goal.
A total defensive fck up. Brighton trying to play like Barnsley, tippy tappy in the penalty area then suddenly wham bam, number 3.

De Bruyne’s goal is one of the best headers I’ve seen, considering his starting position and where the keeper is

Coaching a Football team is much like when Paul Heyman said when booking wrestlers you should accentuate the strengths and hide the weaknesses.

Val is probably our best recent coach to do that. He was excellent at having players do what they can do, instead of what some would want him to make them do.

We don't have the players to try and play the Man City way, so shouldn't be trying to.

They pass at the back then move forward with purpose. We just lumped it up field into no mans land, because normally our wing back got put under pressure.

Funny how empty the stands are, when city are only playing the way that Brighton want to play.

Do you mean late on? Brightons ground looked full to me (though I only watched first half mate)

Guardiola is almost single-handedly responsible for making top level football close to unwatchable in the last few years, despite having possibly the best collection of footballers ever assembled in the history of the game. Accumulate through vast wealth an unbeatable team of incredible footballers and then play risk free football, where possession is valued above all values, particularly entertainment, risk taking or any semblance of joy. He's the sporting equivalent of Kim Jong-Un, a dictatorial, single state, joyless, boring, balding midget cuunt. The sooner UEFA grow some balls and smash this monopoly, the better. Manchester City are the most objectionable 'sports' team in the history of the world and they are perfectly personified by that ****.

Top level football is more exciting than it’s ever been.

I’d argue it’s going to end up the best season of my time watching football.

How many genuinely dull sides is there in the premier league?

I remember the days of 4-5-1 in every big game between Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool for a long time. There was more excitement about what might go off in the tunnel than what happened on the pitch.

There were a few empty after half time, but the place was deserted after the 4th went in.
