I know there has been some comment/criticism on why the club hasn't announced a beam back for the Bristol game. We had a meeting with the club about 5 weeks ago when it was mentioned they were working on doing a beam back BUT they can't do a beam back if Sky chooses to show the game. Sky haven't made the decision yet on what they are going to show. Once Sky makes a decision and if it doesn't involve our game being live I think we'll get an announcement.
Hopefully there's the possibility Sky will allow a beam back. as they did for the Walsall playoff game.
A game is scheduled for two Sky Sports channels which I assume is them trying to fill their depleted sports coverage by putting the same game on both. If that's the case Luton will rightly get picked as they are in pole position. Then we can have a beamback where people on their phones know a goal has gone in before the delay reaches the screen.
So the club probably won’t be able to announce anything until Weds then? Not really going to give them much time to prepare anything. Why had Pompey been allowed to do it on sat then with it being a 3pm kick off. Rules all just seem a bit fast and loose.
Why Wed? Do you think they'll wait for the Tuesday results? Hopefully, they decide before then They weren't on Sky?
I would watch on a beam back if it happens but I'm still hoping Bristol could release some more tickets for away fans.
Sky have a game scheduled for Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event channels at the same time. This will be the same game - Main Event is just a vehicle to show the most popular item on their other sports channels. Presumably this will be the Luton game and the beam back will therefore be possible. Usually if they are going to show two different games they will use Sky Sports Mix or Sky Sports Action for the second one and those channels have John Stones Game Changers and Lower League Egg-chasing play-offs on respectively. I suspect they inadvertently already have given how many Reds fans I know that have got tickets for the home ends
Someone was saying last night in the pub that as many as 700 have tickets in their end. No idea where they got their figures from
I've just been looking at their ticket portal. There's not even the issue of posting to a Barnsley address, as they have the Print at Home facility like we do.
Was there a beam-back for the Walsall play off game? I remember we had one for the Derby and Liverpool games but not Walsall.
Was thinking about it myself could still end up doing so I've asked about for away end tickets everyone has been saying get in home ends.
Reckon some enterprising sort should send up a drone from the park over the road and broadcast it on Facebook live.
