    What a depressing thread to read. It's not even like they're saying that they played well, the consensus seems to be that we were absolutely woeful.

    I concur what an utterly depressing read!

    let's hope this galvanises the lads and we can create a team spirit that can retain our championship status then we can push on!

    Reading that has really cheered me up. To be fair though some of the comments are bang on. We've only got ourselves to blame.

    Comments seem fair to me. City are a poor team they beat us today without even getting into first gear. It'll be a long season of we don't manage to sign 5 first choice first team starters before the window closes.

    We had an absolute mare. By the end of August we'll either be cut adrift or showing signs of what we may eventually become as a team.

    Need these new bodies in early, preferably ready for Morecomb
    Hopefully from Ganyes comments to radio Sheffield 2 are pretty much signed. Reckon it will be that French lad and a winger on loan.

    One relief that it only ended 3-1 is imagine if we were hammered 6-0. Who would sign for us then!

    All is not lost obviously. Hopefully Lindsey, Isgrove and Pearson will help. And McGeehen whenever he's back up to speed.

    It wasn't true. I personally thought that their fans were awful and the fact that they could allegedly pick out what we were singing points towards a dire level of home support

    They finished last season off in really good form scince january. Today sounded like 3-1 flattered us they have spent big in the summer yet again and added to their squad. I'm not sure they are a poor team will be aiming for top 10 finish were as we will be looking to survive.

    I can only say what I saw. A poor team beating a terrible one. Any team with LJ will struggle imo. 3-1 did flatter us. They basically declared at half time.

    Ipswich beat us 4-2 last season first game. Their hat trick hero hardly got another goal from what I can remember.

    Fair enough mate I was only going on the stats and the fact that bristol have spent big added to their squad and the way they finished last season I expected them to start this one well.

    We will get the chance to have a go back when he embarks on his usual eight game
    losing streak later in the season. We will finish above Bristol City.

    We will be bringing strikers in and the players who are out injured at present will give
    us a boost when they come into contention.
