2.25 Cheltenham, 7/4 general. On official ratings, this horse would be conceding 10 lbs to American yet gives him only 4 lbs here. While American is undoubtedly promising, BDM has proven himself at G1/G2 level. The trip and going are fine for him. He would be shorter but for his run in the King George at Kempton, but that performance can easily be excused as the ground was too quick that day and he isn't up to mixing it with Might Bite, who is favourite for the Gold Cup. I expect him to bounce back to form here.

Those desirous of a double might consider combining him with LAmi Serge (3.15 Doncaster) who ought to be too classy for the rest there. The greedy seeking a treble might want to think about Finian's Oscar (3.35 Cheltenham). That horse has been beaten only once in five outings over hurdles, and that by only a short head at Grade 1 level.

Investments can go down as well as up!

Thoughts on Fulham at evens? Seems a bit skinny for an away team.

    I love today's racing - Cheltenham trials.

Not sure about Bristol De Mai- he seems to save his best for Haydock. However, on ratings he should have a stone in hand. I'll be playing Definitely Red.

Finians Oscar I love. He's been messed about this season, running over 2 and 3 miles, now back to hurdles. Think the Tizzards have rushed him a little - he only ran in his point to point about 15 months ago!

    3 bets for me today.

    Mister Whittaker - 1.15 Cheltenham
    Definitely Red - 2.25 Cheltenham
    Flying Angel- 3.15 Donny

    Good luck Orsen

It's a strange game to call today Donks. We can't be sure what the Keiffer Moore effect will be if he starts, and I don't know how emotion will affect things either. Sitting tight on this one!

Excuses last time for BDM, Fonzie. He's had three wins at Haycock but six elsewhere. I think left-handed and back to soft ground will suit. Wouldn't argue with Mr Whittaker.

Agree, BDM looks a good thing today, like the look of Duke of Naven in the 3.50 at Donny so might have a cheeky double, whatever the outcome there looks like some cracking racing on today
