Was it still a technical grammar school then or had it gone to just grammar when you left?

A session in the stocks and not lines or detention was the main method of behaviour management.

1964 to 1969. 1 Webb for the first year and at the end of year sorting out of the brainys and the thickies I ended up in the Third Division (I always thought of it in football league terms).
J was the top stream, T the Second Division players, M the Third and G the bottom lot. So I was in 2M right through to the fifth form when I left after O levels. Always regretted not being allowed to go on to the Sixth Form.

Webb was your house and I was in that as well. Ross, Davy and Wren being the other houses. Our first year classes were Shell 1, 2, 3 or 4 based on alphabetical order. I was in Shell 4 and in the M's following that. I also left after O levels.
