I was arrested for "drunk entering a public event" while following the reds Southampton, away, Premiership. Sat in the van and heard two goals go in, glad to have missed it. Bloke waiting in the van with us was a steward at Oakwell, he'd been arrested for punching a copper</p> Wasn't abusive, and wasn't being loud or gobby, but yes a I was drunk. All I did was walk quietly through the turnstyles, and they led me away, finger printed me, photo'd me and kept me in the cells until after the game. Can only assume they took one look at my mate as we walked up to the ground (he couldn't walk straight when he was sober and was always a wobbly drunk) and thought "we'll have them"</p> Police told me I was a fire hazard in the packed rickety old ground. Apparently it was fairly common at the Dell and they'd normally arrest 20 or so away fans every week.</p>
RE: Thanks , i am right. Yes the club does need every fan. 'Quiet Majority' - so you're one of them who'll sit there quietly at a game making NO atmosphere and moan at every fan who stands up and gets behind the team, Drunk or Not. Keyboard Warrior me thinks
RE: mrx that what i've been saying these blokes were nicked for no reason what so ever, you've seen him does he look like a pissed up hooligan who would cause trouble
RE: mrx far from it mate, don't know the guy personally but he's no pissed up hooligan. good job they weren't same at qpr cos our end would have been sparse
RE: I was arrested for "drunk entering a public event" while following the reds football ground law ,you only have in the polices eyes "appear" to be Drunk ,no bretheliser, upon the interpretation of the police at the time.
This here 'regular set' who you refer to .............. ....... are they the ones who attend most, if not every, match, home and away, and sing their hearts out for the team while the likes of you (occasionally) attend the match and sit there tut tutting about their unacceptable behaviour, or sit at your computer moaning about how much they (allegedly) drink? - cos you will know how much they drink won't you? having been close at hand to them in every pub before every match. Get a life - if it wasn't for the 'regular set' there wouldn't be more than a handful of so called 'Barnsley supporters' at most of the games that's more than an hours travel away and it really would be like a morgue. By the way - if it hadn't been for the 'regular set' intervening at Southampton last season, the majority of 'normal' fans (who you no doubt class yourself as being one of) including women and children, would have been assaulted and had every window in their coach smashed - next time I'm sure the 'regular set' will be more than happy to let the likes of you and the rest of your moderate conservative friends sort it out
RE: This here 'regular set' who you refer to .............. (clap) (clap) (clap) (clap) (clap) (clap)
B*LLOCKS I forgot id made a comment to this post. If i knew mr was getting involved i would have kept a closer eye on proceedings. mrx you complete **** critisesing the fans of the team your are supposed to follow yourself. Complete lunatic (asshole) (wnkr)
RE: This here 'regular set' who you refer to .............. Well fecking said dude. Its a shame nobody could connect with mrx's chin or would he just run off again
RE: B*LLOCKS supposed to follow............but sounds like he were'nt at brum, so should'nt have commented on what went off
but sounds like tell you what , whenever i go away and see/hear what i have seen racist chanting/swearing in front of kids /women constantly (some do it sat with their own kids next to them) i will feel free to make comment , i feel proud of my team and have done for the 43 years i have watched them but at times what i hear and see from my fellow fans do not make me proud at all. That's my opinion i find it sad , yes have a go at me if it hurt's to hear the truth it hurt's me when at work fan's from other local club's in norfolk /suffolk mention also what they hear /see from our fan's.
RE: but sounds like yes whenever you go away then make a comment but dont make one when you were'nt their and did'nt personally witness the incidents. you were out of order even when i told you i had witnessed it all and the three were friends of mine you still came back and said it was not true. i have no reason to lie about what went on.
