Very strong rumours the deal for McGeeghan is done and he'll be signed
later this week. Hope it's true looks to be a really good player.

Don't disagree mate, however with hecky getting lumbered with stuff that Linton Brown would have dealt with whilst trying to do his own job it's not surprising the odd bollock was dropped, sithi.

Hopefully true, but do not want to get too excited till I see it come from a proper reliable source

Looks reasonable going forward but doesnt appesr to have a tackle in him. Definitely needs to improve his all round game. Offers little defensively at this moment in time will need someone next to him to win the ball. If he signs hecky can really improve his game. Look what he did for CH

Have you seen him play? Genuine question, as I always thought tackling was one of his strong points.

I thought he could tackle tbh watched him last season in the carling cup for Luton on sky looked like a decent laiker and only heard good things about him Luton fans on their forum say we would be a good career move and he is far too good for league 2. My only worry is where do hammill, moncur, mowatt, mallen and mcgeehan all fit into our midfield?

Hammill isn't a central midfielder so isn't really relevant to that. Hecky must feel that 2 of Mowatt, Moncur, Mallan and McGeehan can play together otherwise he wouldn't sign 4 players all to play in an attacking midfield role, leaving just 1 more defensive minded midfielder (D'Almeida). Hopefully McGeehan is good enough to play with, say, Moncur, then the other 3 would be in reserve initially

I know with hammill bur we were linked with isgrove the other day too be intrest ing to see the formation hecky plans to use. I trust him anyway just curious that we have 4 attacking midfielders who will all want to be playing regularly.

Like i said can pick a pass positive going forward, nice touch. Tackling doesnt look like a strong point though. Whats all this about signing players with surnames beginning with the letter M

It's easier to get players to tackle than to teach them to score goals and assist. Look at the likes of Hourihane and Moncur.

Like Spain 2012, with no strikers? 4-6-0. Hecky is the new Vicente del Bosque.
