...for the first comentt tonight of “ we’ll walk this league “ watching Roth /Scunny
They were both pretty average at the weekend.
We will be a better league one team than some envisage - if we keep hold of a lot of the squad.
Should be aiming for winning the league and cracking 100 points.
We need a manager first who know what he is doing.

..... or float around as space junk .... forever ;-)
Din't one of those two beat us 4-0 last summer... friendly's don't mean nowt, but they are pointer
We did the double over Rotherham months earlier, in a proper game.
80pts next season us, never been as confident.
Just watching game & tbf Rotherham look pretty decent. Played some decent football. Think they lack the quality needed at both ends for the Championship mind.
Oh.....and Ryan Williams just limped off injured.....
Space junk... there's a song in there somewhere...
people who claim we will walk it often forget we have been absolutely gash for 18 months
I personally think it will be very hard , simply because of the expectansy of some of our fans will put us under extra pressure to do well but regarding the game tonight , I thought it was very entertaining but if you put both sides together you would still struggle to get a side good enough to compete in the championship . I am not doing either club a disservice , as I am sure if Rotherham do get promoted, the side they turned out tonight would not be the team they will turn out in August as they are sure to strengthen because their chairman will not want a repeat of last season & duly back Paul Warne
We've not been playing in league 1 though have we?
Started a thread saying this a week or so ago but was accused of being a bit wensdah.
Can’t remember last time we were champions of any league although I suppose we have.
we won a cup two years ago first time in 104 years so a championship isn’t too far out of the question .
Our away fans deserve some good days out and home fans havnt had a lot to shout about this season solet’s make it a seasons worth of pure joy and celebration
If Morais was still here... presser before first game of season
"Jose - another season awaits - are you looking to get promoted at the first attempt?"
- JM - "promotion or not, even relegation to League two - it does not matter - i have already succeeded. I woke up this morning and saw the sun - yes that was success enough. i live to fight another day. Another day where we can show our quality, our desire to win."
"erm, okay - there are talks of one of the players actually signing some of their team mates in the close season just to enable you to field a full team this year - is that true?"
JM - "players sign other players all the time. this happens."
"and you are ok with that"
JM - "if players are bringing other players into the team then that is only good for the team to have more players to play for the great team that is Barnsley."
"but is that not your job"
JM - "who is it that says that is you that suggests you are the one to define the role i am told that it is that you and i should be doing on this planet. Surely that is what everyone wants and believes. I believe this is true. yes"
"sorry Jose but you talk rubbish every time you get asked an awkward question. Why is that?"
JM - "who am i to comment on what you think. You believe your own thoughts not mine. i only talk about what i believe."
"ci thi ya crank"
Great saying that!
Was that Bill Shankleys favourite phrase?
Honestly couldn't tell you. I have heard many variations of it over the years.
