    the song about the ripper, i understand its not to everyones taste but i cant understand how a song about the ripper has anything to do with barnsley ??

    Can remember singing it about 20 years ago, been telling a mate at work who is a lot younger than I am, but just cannot remember the lyrics, we had some good chants in the good old days LOL :D

    ....ripper was at large, and the fans used the song to taunt the police about not being able to catch him. It was also sang to opposition fans who weren't from Yorkshire - (weirdly) on the basis of we've got a ripper and you haven't!

    Anyway, the words are ...

    God knows why it's starting up again at BFC matches though!
