    Both gave everything in every game, neither demanded a move when they might have got one in January, both honoured their contracts and continued to give 100% in games even after we had nowt to play for and they knew they were off.

    Classy behaviour. I can't fault them for moving on if there is a lot more money on the table for them.

    That's it. Couple of years of good service by both. But nowhere near our best ever players, not legends and replaceable. If Marley can get five figures somewhere off the back of our 2017 form and his own form that wasn't one of our best players then good luck to him.

    I always think of Watkins as the modern Brendan Oconnell type of player. Popular with most of the fans, loads of energy and scored the odd goal.

    Did he throw the toys out of the pram, get a mardy on when he didn't get the move?

    No, he rolled his sleeves up and honoured his contract. All should do that, not too many do.
