Should only really be Leeds and Wednesday that are A category as they will charge us that if not more. Shouldn’t really be anyone else. Should really just charge the away fans that though!
Totally wrong. The football league and FA should do something about this. The club may have had their hand forced by Wednesday and Leeds etc.... who do this week in week out, but two wrongs don’t make a right. I’ve got a season ticket this year so shouldn’t really be bothered, but it does annoy me and I hate the way football has gone.
If you only attend the B and C games I bet interest free finance season ticket would still be cheaper?
Should be one price fits any game. Regardless of if it is QPR on a Friday morning or Barcelona on a Saturday we shouldn't have to pay more to watch the team we support, dependent on opposition.
Disgusting price to watch something for an hour and half, outside, on bird **** covered seats, generally in freezing cold conditions where you can't guarantee to even be able to buy a warm drink at half time (or any drink, or food).
With two serving and no drink trays to carry your stuff with and the 38 quid pay on the day prices will probably be dinner time starts too.
I have absolutely no issue with this whatsoever. When in Rome and all that. Wednesday and Leeds will charge us those prices. We can choose not to go. We’d be cutting our nose off to spite our faces if we didn’t reciprocate - leeds will sell four or five times more match day tickets for the game at Oakwell than would be bought by Barnsley fans given the number of st holders. I knew as soon as I read the prices that there’d be folk on here complaining. Fair enough - I get it - but we are selling championship season tickets for barely the average of what league one sides are charging, and we charge next to nowt to kids. There have to be gains made somewhere after promotion. There will be much more expensive matchday tickets in this division. Until there is a centrally controlled law controlling prices, and as long as other sides price in this way, there is too large a cost in taking a moral high ground by charging say £25 max. They’re not forced to make any games cat A anyway.
Hiding behind reciprocal pricing again. "Barnsley football club will be joining in with the practice of ripping off away fans of well supported clubs" Really wish the EFL would do something about it but seen as they are run so poorly it's hardly a surprise is it.
Welcome back to the championship. Small print.. *These are advance purchase prices and all categories increase by £2 on the day of the game. Should cash turnstiles be in operation the under 19 and under 12 prices will not be available, they are box office/online purchase only.
It's the wider issue for me, regular fans of all clubs are the victims. Just saddens me we are part of the horrible greed culture. I do fully understand why we are.
Makes me ashamed to support us. Bring back the family club that was part of the community not billionaires paying overpriced wages from the pockets of one of the UKs poorest areas. Absolutely shameful.
I've no issues with us ripping off the teams who rip us off. Don't we generally put an offer on around the time these matches come around for multiple match tickets so our fans aren't ripped off?
