As I've said a few times he's our best striker this century. Better than the Bassett front two of Dyer and Shipperley. Too good for us. Enjoy him whilst we still can.
Shipperley was a hell of a footballer & a totally different type of player. Higgy I think was last century, just. Cauley will be off at the end of the season, so I agree enjoy him while we have him, that is the way things are these days.
Best natural finisher I’ve seen at the club in my time watching. Admittedly that duration isn’t as long as most on here but still.
It's not necessarily where his actual position is, it's all about the number of times he gets in the box.
I couldn't believe it when we managed to get him in the first place, as he always looked a class above whenever I'd seen him play. I'm glad to say he proved me right, but even if a miracle occurred and we managed to stay up, he will still be off at the end of the season. 13 goals in a team that has struggled is a great return(he averages a goal per every other game exactly). I wish we could go back to the days of players staying for extended periods, but unless someone buys the club to use as a plaything and throw millions at it(the chances of which will become less and less ad other clubs are punished for it) then we're stuck with the better players moving on after a good season or two..
