People can say and criticise want. But this is a privately owned website, so if Gally(being the owner) doesn't want anything saying that may either cause future issues for himself(as has happened in the past, or cause the family of the deceased any extra emotional hurt, then that's his call. If anyone isn't happy with this arrangement, then you can either choose criticise Cryne on another board, or set your own up and bare the financial burden/responsibilities that come with it.
I understand the manner of comments being disliked but I'm struggling with this 'poor timing' which I have heard a lot about. Why is it bad timing to criticise?
I assume you didn't see the comments...if he'd said that to a member of Patrick Crynes family in the street, I would have had no sympathy for the OP whatever the consequences were.
If its the thread I'm thinking of then I saw the thread title but didn't click on it. He was accused of terrible timing a few weeks ago when he made a similar (I think) post. Like I said if the content was out of order then fair enough it's just the timing being unacceptable that I'm confused by
crumbling stadium? granted the West stand is **** but the other threesides are definitely not crumbling. ******.
If you are unhappy with the way it was dealt with please feel free to frequent one of the other message boards. I think most of the reasons it was removed are already covered here. Dragon Tykes reply in particular as well as the "facts" that were not actually true. I have a great deal of respect for what Patrick did for this club. He'd be the first to admit he got plenty wrong (and I've heard him do that over the years). He did what he did in the best interests of the club. He put a vast amount of his families cash into the club when no one else would. I also have some fantastic memories as a Barnsley Fan under his tenure and I thank him for that so that sort of thing leaves a bad taste if I'm honest with you.
He didn't say "poor timing", just "timing". I thought Conan showed undue haste coming on here so quickly after the final whistle and regurgitating the same disrespectful claptrap we've had to put up with for months. It was almost as if he was itching to do so out of vindication and that came across to me as being gleeful of our plight. I felt physically sick for hours after the game and my last thought was coming on here to score points. Mistakes have been made, but it's ridiculous for anyone to suggest they weren't genuine ones.
I don't know for sure lets wait and see on a few things did the concortium really want a third div club ? Are They wanting us to flourish as a club \re they prepaired or able to splash the cash in the summer are the French links strong enough to secure a few decent sales or loans Are we still a selling clubOne thing is appart from Yids and maybe moncur /Hamill / who else will be of interest to another club I wont loose sleep if anyone of the 15 or so left. watch this space there will be some new faces this year
I have posted a few times recently on the language used and total disrespectful comments I’ve read on here
Is not censorship it's just good old fashioned respect for some one who did all he could for the club when no one else would. Laid his money down and put us right. If I were James Cryne and read such a poisonous ungrateful heap of twisted bile such as that I'd be selling my 20% and waving all the fickle, myopic ******** farewell and good luck. Jesus wept what a bunch of bairns we have on here sometimes. It's a business, not a ******* sports and social club ffs!
Its a sports club first and foremost otherwise we might as well plant potatoes on the pitch and harvest them. It's more profitable
It’s has been run well the new owners have said so ,are they lieing ? It was one of the reasons they invested into the club when no one else except asset strippers wanting the land would have. Keith Hill ???????
Stadium etc owned by oakwell community assets Ltd. I think the new owners of the club have an option to buy 50% of the shares in oca ltd sometime this year if they choose. At the moment I do not think they have ownership of any of the land and buildings.
Not profit, balancing the books. Reason.: the people of Barnsley do not support the club in sufficient numbers, to pay the huge salaries Championship players demand.
Exactly. Profit would suggest it was drained out of the club. It wasn't, it was used for keeping the club running.
We had just been promoted. Just how badly we're we being run that our squad of league one signings on league one wages were STILL seeing us run at a significant (multi million pound) loss despite the roughly £5m additional revenue from promotion?
Its a sports club first and foremost otherwise we might as well plant potatoes on the pitch and harvest them. It's more profitable they would do well because of the ***** that ive seen on the pitch this year
