I am greatly taken with the 11/4 (Hills, Betvictor) on Middlesbrough for promotion this season. Garry Monk did good things with a limited Leeds squad last season and should relish working with a better resourced squad this term. His previous work at Swansea was impressive, and he was arguably unlucky there. Boro have the massive assistance of parachute money of course, and to my eyes look the best placed of the relegated sides to make best use of it. They retain many of the players who got them promoted two years ago, and have the resources to add to that, particularly up top. Steve Gibson has stated his determination that Boro should get back up at the first attempt. In addition, the infrastructure around Monk looks impressive. Joe Jordan is his assistant, and James Beattie and Jonathan Woodgate are also on the coaching staff. 3/1 was available in a corner earlier this week, but the 11/4 just to get up looks a fair bet. After all, we only got 9/4 for Newcastle to win the thing this time last year!
