    Doesn't really work like that we paid near on a million for chaplin i imagine we have had a bid that is decent for us and re coups some of the fee we shelled out. Who is going to want to sign miller?

    He seemed a nice lad and always gave 100% very fast but like already said reminded me of chris dagnall but dagnall probley had more end product. Not upto it yet in Championship but I think he will do well in league one and who knows minght come again.

    I have absolutely nothing to back this up with but I’d have said we’d have paid closer to £500K than a million for him.

    Coventry paid portsmouth 500k for conor 6months before we signed him from Coventry I doubt Coventry would have been so nice to give us him at the same price after we had just been promoted. I did a quick Google search but can't find anything on how much we paid. But I remember rumors at the time saying the fee was close to 1million.

    I said closer to £500K than a million, not specifically £500K. I’m the same as you though in that I can’t find anything on google. I guess we’ll never know but I’m pretty sure he has 2 years left on his deal so hopefully we recoup something for him at least.

    Chaplin is a great player at L1 level, especially in the right team.

    He has a decent touch, but didn't do enough last year for me. I agree the style didn't really suit him, but as a striker you need to get yourself in scoring positions, or regularly providing assists & there were frugal outcomes on both last year.

    Someone put who would buy miller so I thought I would do a skit on windy Miller,but you got to be old to know who windy Miller is and then you got to try and make Wednesday sound a bit like windy ,so all in all ???? Is quite fair

    Personally, I'd be sad to see Chaplin depart (if he does) as I think there is a decent player in there. However, he's not better than Woodrow or Morris and if we're looking to sign another 2 strikers (which I hope will be an improvement or different to what we've already got) then it's probably best for all parties that he leaves. If he does go then I hope we negioate a significant sell on clause as I think he has the ability to shine elsewhere.
