No chance. We lose £750k TV Money this season. The only chance of an increase is if we sell some assets for decent money and Hill gets to use it. But seeing as we will lose another 1000 season tickets this summer.....

Re: I remember a lot on here having the same opinion of jim obrien last season,

    Nail on Head.

I'm not saying he's the greatest player in the World. He's looked rubbish when I've seen him. But to write any player off after 8 weeks, when he's playing in a side that's been thrown together recently and not playing really well is absolutely f.cking mental. That's my problem.

If Hill gets us to Wembley, an FA Cup semi final or promoted then fair enough :)

Im all for giving any lad time. But in these 8 weeks, I struggle to recall a moment where Dagnall has shown anything to suggest he is anything but out of his depth.
It took Danny Rose just 8 minutes to do more than Dagnall in his 8 weeks. And Reuben has done more in his ridiculously limited appearances too.
    Just saying

Re: So whilst Rose and Digby don't make the bench or squad sometimes the likes of Dag

Just been sent out on loan to Bradford.

#BarnsleyFC striker Chris Dagnall has completed a loan switch to Bradford City until the end of the season.

How anyone can suggest that Craig Davies isn't one of the 'lower league gems' is beyond me. Without him we would be absolutely screwed. Free transfer from a team that were moving up from League Two, scored 11 and played a part in many more.

Davies has been far, far more of a gem than Perkins, as useful as he's been at times. But because his first touch is poor at times, he's just written off. If football was all about first touch Barry Conlon would have been a fecking superstar.

did you say Dagnall is the best player you have ever seen at Oakwell?? hmmm

and I am assuming you mean playing for Barnsley?

sorry fella but if this is so you must be extremely young then or have suffered a blow to the head causing amnesia.

Glavin,McCarthy,Redfearn,Hignett,Ward,Dyer just to name a few all are far superior to Dagnall, and more recently Howard, Hamill,Butterfield & Vaz Te.But I will have to say I am not for or against Chris Dagnall, my book is open on the lad.My point is just that there have been a good many players who Dagnall (at present)simply cannot hold a candle to a lot that have donned the Red shirt.I would be thrilled if he went on to become a legend in the same bracket as the few I earlier mentioned.

I stand by my comments. I'm all for giving any lad time, but in those 8 weeks he appeared to be out of his depth.

And whilst I agree he has improved somewhat (which in other threads I said he could do, and hoped he would) I think it's a tad early to be proclaiming him some sort of 'star'.

However, I fancy him to improve further still, once he gets his first league goal. It's coming live on Sky, this Saturday tea time.

Oh, and Dice, wait til you see his 'Crossbar Challenge' attempt on Soccer AM. Obviously, that's if thaz got Sky.
