I can guarentee this, if it was hemsworth tyke who was constantly posting threads about keith hill he would be labelled a WUM and be abused from pillar to post.
You would have booed out Ferguson in his first few seasons at Old Trafford....cos you're a Non-Fan.... ....Keeeeeeef!!!!!
I'd really like you to explain how you calculate I'm a non-fan? Is it because I dare to question The Owner or don't want to accept we are condemned to the lower leagues? By the way, Keef was sacked by The Owner. There was little or no dissent at Oakwell to Keef only apathy.
Or will be statistically and therefore in the real world our worst ever manager. Just a wild guess...
Not by me he wouldn't. I'm a big defender of Phil on here. As for constantly posting Keith Hill threads, erm, I haven't done. I've posted just that one. Can't recall the last time I posted one relating to him.
Is Keith really worse than the managers that took us into the fourth tier? BigLil tells me that McSeveney (sp?) was the worst manager he's seen. As have others of a similar age. My father for example thought similarly. I wouldn't class Keith the worst in my 26 years watching BFC.
I went to my first match under Jim Iley and for attitude above his ability a general contempt for our club and self belief that borders on delusion I put Hill as the worst manager. Nigel Spackman gives him a close run for his money but unlike Hill he was an ok bloke. We have had worse teams but under very different circumstances. So my long winded answer Is yes he's probably my least favourite manager and therefore in my eyes the worst and the stats on his performance as manager backs this up.
Pretty much same time frame and opinion from myself, Jimmy Cricket. Although I have to say Steve Parkin runs Keith Hill to a close second place.
I discounted Steve just cos he's a really nice bloke. His nan used to live on our street so I have that in my head. Crap manager though I admit.
You raise a good point in that Steve Parkin, Nigel Spackman and latterly Flicker.........all decent blokes, but failed at BFC. The one who failed at BFC, with a personality character that the vast majority of our fans disliked......Keith Hill. Probably why he gets more stick?
Worse than Spackman is BAD… but I can see your point . Viv Anderson wasn't great either, or Parkin or Simon Davey (although we at least had the cup run) I would say that as I started in the Iley era I would agree Hill / Flicker & all mentioned here are certainly the worst.
Seems rather apt <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/rPFGWVKXxm0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I've only 26 years to go on, being a young lad like but I think I'd go with Simon Davey as the worst in that time. Then Spackman, Hart and Flitcroft.
That's probably a key factor. But then, a lot of us loved his personality. When we were winning football matches. Shame I haven't the archive anymore to bump a load of ACTUAL loving-Keith threads. Some reight about-turns happened once January killed us/him.
