So Corbyn would order an enquiry into the circumstances regarding our involvement in the Iraq war? I can guarantee he never will. In footballing terms he is a stubborn lower division holding midfielder. Nowt wrong with that. We've had a few in our time.
Basically when it comes to running the country these days, we can no longer rely upon the right of centre looking for the left of centre votes, or the left of centre looking for the right of centre votes. Meanwhile, you personally as a professed Tory on here, find yourself described as a lovely person., someone who should die of AIDS, and should not be allowed to support your team. Site admin are admirable in their allowance of freedom of expression. Until Nudge met Hecky. But yet you still can -Jo Brand like - abuse a fellow citizen at will.
Haha it can be like a student union on here at times. Like the old saying goes 'free speech is great as long as you agree with me' PS. I wouldn't class myself as a Tory, I'm definitely right of centre these days but I can't and won't vote for this current lot. I've also voted Labour several times in the past but again can't and won't vote for them as they currently are.
we keep on about politicians bur they are only there because we put them there to serve us and do as we ask, they seem to forget this and we can change it but voting against any politician that does not do as we ask
They aren’t there to do as we ask tbh , they are there to do the best in their opinion for us . Obviously that is voting hit the things we want but mire often than not they tell us . It’s a strange one granted but they are more in the know than you or I will ever be . Most politicians on Brexit agree that we are better in than out and the referendum has thrown an hand grenadine amongst them . There are staunch leavers as their are staunch remainers but there’s also MPs who are voting leave that font believe in it but are doing as their constituents ask . That’s a conflict of interest imo because if I really believed that we would be better off in I would stand my ground and fight on the issues and put myself and my beliefs to the people . However it’s not a single issue thing to some MPs.
The one positive I can pick out, is that if he gets the job...and does what he has said...he will cancel Hs2.
Well apart from Shed 131 (whom I met briefly and runs a pub) I don't know anyone on here. Which is how I like it. I apologise for sticking you in the enemy trenches, so as to speak.
Dont worry, I think I put myself in enemy trenches but only on here of course. I'm closer to no man's land everywhere else.
if the mp that you voted for does not do what the majority of his constituency voted for then he/she should be voted out and on the dole not leave with thousands of pound in their back pocket, mp's have a job that we would all like and i doubt that they know more than we do on any subject they follow the party line
I'm staying positive that in the not too distant future I'll be able to return to the trenches. It's no fun having no home.
Very few MPs are voted in by the majority of their constituency. MPs are not elected to do what their constituents want, but what is best in their considered judgement for the country first, then their constituents. However, when MPs are paid more for their second and third jobs, can we be sure that they are doing that?
