How much of that is to do with race baiting fat fuckwit David Lammy? Or is it just a reaction to virtue signalling celebrities? https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-...ses-8m-less-than-2017-as-viewing-figures-fall
Or was it down to having no text a fiver option,We not made of money starting at text a tenner big mistake
Probably 'cos a lot of folk that might have donated summat no longer have the means under this incompetent, malicious government.
I usually watch it and donate but sadly not this year there's only so much you can donate to. I chose the Reds fan walking from Burton to Barnsley because Iam a big believer in the air ambulance, i give to others but like i say can't give to everyone
I hadn't seen his comments until now and i guess tens of thousands of others wouldn't have too. I have noticed a few dissenting comments on my social media feeds though, most prominently from those to the right. So that's a left/right consensus, albeit for completely different reasons.
Wasn't referring to critisism of a black person, was referring to critisism of comic relief as a whole.
10, 20 and 30 were advertised on screen for the Kilamanjaro climb show the other night. They haven't lost as much as others claimed then... https://www.politicalite.com/latest...d-nose-day-loses-19m-thanks-to-lammy-race-row
I think it's also in part due to the fact that TV viewing figures are down across the board with the rise of Netflix etc.
They should have rearranged this year's Comic Relief to Saturday so it didn't clash with Doncaster Rovers vs Barnsley.
The more i read about comic relief children in need and its ilk the more inclined i am to think that these kind of fundraising events are part of the problem not the solution.
It’s still a decent wedge of cash that should be coming from the rich African elite. Likewise the problems highlighted from Britain are a ******* disgrace in this day and age but are unlikely to be addressed by these self serving, out of touch mummy’s boys
Lammy was right lots of white celebrities doing heir but for ‘charidy’. I call it the Bono syndrome. If you care donate your ******* money. Poorer people tend to donate a higher percentage of their income under the tories they have less money to do so.
I guess there are a lot of factors at play here but one to also consider Is that I pretty much never watch “live” tv anymore. Netflix/iplayer/amazon/YouTube on demand is how i consume TV nowadays. Im sure that must be a growing trend
This country is built on volunteers and charities now. Take those away and everything comes to a standstill.
Tbh I think it's a lot to do with turning on your TV and seeing constant charity adverts for this and that, and people are more aware now how much many of these charities CEO's are on.right or wrong it as a negative affect on many people, myself included. I do give to charity but always ask where the money is going.
Honestly I think a big part of it is to do with the rise of streaming services and the fact that fewer people watch TV in the traditional sense these days. I honestly had no idea it was comic relief on Friday.
