I never boo.

I'm just defending the right of the wrong to boo.

 

The vast majority didn't boo and Connor chose to ignore them. Has he tweeted his thanks for their great support this afternoon?

This in a nutshell. Exactly what I think, disappointing from Conor and the rest after such a good win to choose to react to the minority and ignore the majority.

Or maybe he thought that after the run were on, they all could cut them a bit of slack. Some professional moaners out there.

 

Yes - no booing from where I was sat. First half a but frustrating but I thought the fans stayed pretty solid and got behind the team. If there was any it can only have been a very small number of people and even then it may have been aimed at the ref or the linesman.

Great win today.

But if it was the minority as suggested then why ask 'thought we we're in this together' to the naked eye it's making the majority of Barnsley fans look bad when really they we're behind the lads.

I'm sure they're capable of stomaching a few boos but that's not the point is it.

The team have done great the last few months, aided by the support of the fans. That relationship has helped us through some of the difficult games. If some fans are going to start booing the team rather than supporting them then it's going to be more difficult to carry on this good run. As Conor said in his tweet, we're supposed to be in this together.

 

It's very naive though to think everyone will be 100% supportive at all times. It shouldn't really affect performances, especially as has been suggested it was only a small minority. Connor should be mature enough to know that this kind of thing happens at every ground up and down the country. Get over it, move on, it's not that important, surely?

 

Could have been a lot worse I suppose ask Chris brunt.

 

Have they not earned the support of 100% of the fans after the last few months? I'm not surprised he's annoyed about people booing the teams performance.

 

Thank you. It's like my dad(God rest his wonderful soul) is talking to me.
That's helped me. Now I can go and celebrate a cracking win with a glass or two of red.

It's acceptable to boo at every stay pass and mistake too if booing one bad half of football is okay. Right support

I think they are just highlighting a point booing one poor half of football isn't okay.

I try to make a point of not judging other people's behaviour unless it directly affects me in an adverse way or I think it's morally unacceptable. If folk want to boo, I say good luck to them. Barnsley are playing some great football at present, a massive improvement on earlier in the season. I'm being entertained. The team are winning. The vast majority of fans are, like me, right behind them. A few boos at half time didn't warrant such a reaction from the players.

 

Well I think it's homophobic, narcissistic, racist, neoflatulence from people who shouldve gone to Uni and got three degrees in flower pressing ,horticultural irrigation and shrub removal

Just realised this is an extremely hypocritical statement. Thanks for not pointing it out everyone. Must be time to stop drinking beer, I'm starting to get far too many opinions...

Playing devil's advocate, I suppose it could be argued that if it upset the players and geed them up to play better in the second half, the booing had the desired effect. Some may say 3 points to the fans.
