i posted this yesterday that if he does not sign straight away you get the club is a joke, tight etc comments all becasue we have said he is thinking things over

yet if nothing was posted on the website about him we would get what is happening, poor pr, GS needs to tell us everythign that ever happens at the club, etc comments

If we hadn't released the story "some" fans would complain we were running the club under cloak and dagger. Because we have released it we are a fiasco.

if he signs or does not sign it does not really matter,he wont keep us up,may as well just re-build in division 1 and sign new players then this season is over,at the end of he day bfc are skint and cant afford most players wages hence loan signings and div tat i would imagine wages are the stumbling block for the constantine deal

 

Dont you understand that this is a two way deal. Both players have to agree terms with the respective clubs prior to any deal being concluded.

And it said it on our website on Friday.

We cannot sign Constantine until Richards has agreed terms. We dont know where the problem lies but lets see what happens. We may or may not have agreed terms who knows?

but if said clubs are respectively offering 'peanuts' in comparison to current terms, don't you think its the players' perogative to hold out for the best deal? Can't blame them really... especially not when Rico will be moving down a league, etc, etc...</p>

surely the problem is that none of this should have been even been mentioned in a chinese whisper before the deal was sealed???</p>

Absolutely. We are only supporters offering an opinion. Whatever opinion that may be.

that whatever info comes out of the club it is speculated on made into something it is not no matter how big the info is.

we can only speculate on what the players are offered but it could not just about money and it has been a day since both have held talks

then if the club don't say anything everyone changes tact and moans that we are told nothing

 

Personally dont see the problem

if he is perceived to be the answer to our striking problems and Richards doesnt fancy Vale then make a cash offer.They have already got other irons in the fire that they wont want to miss so will probably take a fair offer (lets face it if we can't afford this kind of fee we might as well give up).If we dont start scoring goals soon we are knackered (if not already) and the longer we wait somebody else may step in.So the question is are we seriuous or not?

 

Because...

Less than 2 weeks ago Davey said we wouldn't be revealing targets until deals are done - now we're announcing deals that aren't finished - we might as well invite other clubs to come & get him. Total shambles. Of course LC has the right to think things thru, but once again we have looked like a bunch of amatuers. It's like someone is deliberately going out of their way to irritate fans.

they seem to be confusing keeping the supporters informed with 'what titbit can we throw at them to keep them happy today?'</p>

the way i see it is

fans want to know who we are trying to sign, are we going to, names etc

so the club say we have had a bid accepted for player x i.e giving what fans what information on targets, names etc and then they get slated becasue they have not signed them asap and the deal could fall through, maybe they are trying to show that they are actively trying becasue as i said otherwise some fans would be uup in arms

I think we all understand the ins & outs of a 2 way deal... I wouldn't blame Richards for turning it down; I wouldn't blame LC for looking for a better deal.... the shambles bit comes because we've prematurely announced a deal, that is no where near completion, we've been without Richards for 2 games he could have had a part in, and worst of all we've given Constantine's agent 4 days to find him a better offer. If the deal fails we've wasted a week of possible transfers, had a weakened team for no reason, unsettled our own squad (Richards in particular), and we look like idiots... again.

they maybe are trying... trying a lot of peoples' patience that is.</p>

we're getting into a whole other arena, somewhere we've been before, about the lack of PR skills down at the 'Well.</p>

personally, I'd rather not know anything until the deal is signed and sealed. Or at least say 'we're in talks with xxx' but don't actually announce any details until it's 100% complete??</p>
