Afghanistan and Iraq aren't comparable. Personally I think Afghanistan was justified and we didn't go there on the back of 'misleading' facts. If we could go back in time knowing what we know now would we still go into Iraq? Probably not. Would we still go into Afghanistan? Yes I'm pretty sure we would.
And if we go into Syria Mario the same questions will be asked I'm sure. As Einstein said the definition of madness etc.
ISIL are a completely different problem and they have to be stopped - they're already on the doorstep of Europe. Air campaigns will only take you so far but this is what we'll get to begin with. I think it will take a major atrocity before we put boots on the ground. I hope I am wrong because I can't see any other way to beat them until we do attack them on the ground.
Re: riiiiiiiiipppppppppppppppppppppp Exactly, the fact is with our electoral system only the marginals matter, and Labour under Corbyn aren't going to win them.
There's already been numerous atrocities Mario so that's not gonna change owt as far as isil well first it was al queda then the Taliban.then Gaddafi then Bassad.and now isil then??
I have made no contradiction what so ever. I have said that Corbyn is wrong by saying we should not get involved with
Excellent news If the centre of the party don't like it that'd just tough Mr Corbyn won a democratic election fair and square almost 60% of the first preference votes. Time for the centre/right of the party to rally round the new leader, and not go bleating about it. The Grass roots have spoken - time for Mr Corbyn to deliver. Bring back clause IV and lets have more equality in this nation. Hopefully Mr Corbyn will appeal to those that don't vote, those that see MP's from whichever party being the same and those youngsters that see how they can't get on the housing ladder, have to pay through their nose to get a degree and those that get paid a pittance after leaving school.
I haven't got a Like button, so *Like* Wish everyone (including myself) was so pragmatic about politics/politicians different to what they believe.
I just wish people would treat people fairly, with dignity and respect, and stop acting like cnuts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bit naughty that Mario, he actually said there could be reasons but AT THE MOMENT he couldn't think of any and to be honest the question is more worrying than the answer.
Good. As a traditional Labour voter who felt I had to vote Green at the last election I think I can now return to the fold
