Your vote doesn't matter though since you don't live in a marginal seat.

Everybody's vote matters even in seats like Barnsley and even in this creaking first past the post system.

    Re: riiiiiiiiipppppppppppppppppppppp

I wouldn't put money on that. People have had enough of the tories and pseudo tories like Blair. Corbyn has already said he doesn't like the way the media operate, he weir sucked up to them like Cameron and Blair did.

We need a credible opposition to hold the government to account.

    Over to you Nicola.

Is this a thread for people with malfunctioning keyboards?

What does "who are been predicted" mean?

And "God. Campaign to get rid of Cameron and Osborne them"?

Or is this the return of the age of Stanley Unwin?

It adds up to the same thing really. 99.9% of people could give reasons for going to war without too much thought yet the leader of the opposition can't think of one. Very worrying in my humble opinion.

His foreign policy is worrying, his stance on NATO is worrying, his immigration policy is worrying. I could go on.

As I said earlier in the thread I hope his advisors polish him up a bit because (again its just my opinion) he is completely unelectable as he stands right now.

Don't worry too much Mario policies will be made by real people at grass roots level instead of the plastic cut outs under the previous regime.that's one thing Corbyn has promised to give the party back to the people.
If there is a need for war the party will not be wanting but it will be with less smash and ******** than we've been used to recently.
He's not as bad as the media are making him out .

You may be right but he won't be tempting me to vote Labour.

I get what you're saying mate but they're worrying to you but make sense to others. And ultimately it's unlikely you would vote Labour, and if you did it would be because the policies weren't particularly Labour policies. I get all the arguments that you can't do anything without power, but if what you have to do to get in to power doesn't reflect your beliefs then what's the point?

The biggest issue this has highlighted is how out of touch the parliamentary Labour party are with their supporters. The majority of MPs are Blairite but the vast majority of the party membership have voted for the left wing candidates. I hope those MPs respect the clear mandate Corbyn has from the Labour party.

Haven't six members of the shadow cabinet resigned already? I'm sure he will reconnect with the left of the party but he may lose the centre and that won't help him.

Yeah. First thing I'd do would be offer Caroline Lucas a cabinet position, start to build a left consensus.

I'm genuinely optimistic though as to how an unfiltered anti-austerity message will be received. I think people will find it refreshing to get straight honest answers and actual solutions, not apologetic New Labour 'it's just the way of the modern world and we can't change anything fundamental' responses.

What I found most ironic was an interview on LBC today with Margaret Beckett who nominated Jeremy. She seemed to be quite regretful that she'd nominated him in the first place and hinted that had she known that things would turn out like this she may have made a different choice. Interesting that she really saw him as a protest rather than a genuine candidate who would go on to win.

Losing the left of the electorate cost us the election...and after what these tw*ts in power have in store for Britain in the next five years, we probably could have elected Genghis Khan as leader.
