Strikes me the real problem with Corbyn is he doesn’t play the game and this hinders him.
By playing the game I mean using the media to get his messages across. This is one of the things that Blair was excellent at.
This leaves a vacuum which the MSM fill.
I generally believe this will ultimately be the reason why he won’t get elected because there are not enough ‘left’ Labour supporters (as there labelled) in the country.

The right wing media of the day supported Blair and his centre right capitalist vision for New Labour. And the media back then didn’t include the internet. So if you had the tabloids behind you, happy days.

The right wing media fear Corbyn. But in this day and age, there are more platforms for their agenda. So you’re right in a fashion - he’s up against a right wing media bias.

Boris has just appointed the CEO of Sky (right wing media) as business advisor.

Wouldn’t be so sure - they’ve just appointed a genuine, true-blue Tory as their leader!

A pro EU choice compared to a hard Brexit and a Brexit which makes no sense. Labour are in no mans land.

Tory areas wont turn red. Scotland won't turn red and Lib Dem areas wont turn red. Labour only have 229 seats. They need just under 100 more to have a tiny majority, and we've seen how difficult that is the last few years.

I can't see anyway Labour find 100 seats with this face both ways stance and the current leadership/crony clique set up.

as i sit here slightly hungover i read this board with dismay and disgust at the way some posters portray themselves, if you dont agree with me then you're thick, if you dont vote for the same party as me then you're scum, only people of a certain educational standard should be allowed to vote ( i left school at 15 with a hole in my pocket and the ar5e hanging out of my trousers) so unlike citizen corbanoff, diane abbott, maggie thatcher, or boris johnson i aint got a degree so i should be excluded from voting although i am a "vet" so does 9years 156 day and an early breakfast count for anything ? ( 3 op banner tours as well, google it). just because someone doesnt agree with you it doesnt make them wrong, it doesnt make them right either, just different, if someone comes on here slagging *********** ( inset name of religion) or homosexuality then i should imagine the same people that are abusing the political opposites would be up in arms about it (HYPOCRITES). now i am no fan of corbanoff because of his well documented friendship with known terrorists ( i'm also not a great believer in his particular brand socialism, great in theory but doesnt work) and if i was throwing a party bojo would be 1st on my list just imagine him with a gut full of ale and sambucca shots. . . pure gold, and the only thing i agree with johnson about is getting out of europe sharpish, its the uncertainty of it all......... as a great politician once said " FOR THE MANY, NOT THE FEW " 52%-48%.......................... wonder what his stanch on brexit is today. well i think thats about rant over, what i'm trying to say in my ar5se about face way is be nice, we're all reds..................even the blue ones.. may the force be with you

Just as a point of order, Labour have 247 seats, an increase under Corbyn at the last election from 229 (it was more but the Nortorious TIG then formed to great success).

Although your point remains valid on the numbers, but a centre left option certainly won't win back Scotland.

Hmm, odd the first google was the prior election to the last. But either way, Labour aren't getting elected ay time soon.

I very much expect a massive kicking at the next GE.

Said that Labour was going to be wiped off the map in 2017, I knew different as I attended alot of rallies. Next election, it will be a poisoned challace if no deal goes through anyway.

i think NO DEAL is a necessary evil, the threat is there but as a last and only option if the EU dont start playing fair, no deal is better than a bad deal

You can wipe your arse with it afterwards though. I find that more difficult with the digital format.

Was that one of those rallies where you asked ‘why should we cow tail to the jews’ like you asked me the other day. If that question had been about any other race/religion lets say for example muslims you’d have been jumped all over by folk on this board and rightly so. Says all it needs to say about Corbyns labour and the prejudices of his supporters.

Indeed, limp along surviving by trying to please everyone and pleasing nobody, or pin your colours to a mast and educate and influence why that option is the best option.

Pro EU voters won't vote labour. Pro leave voters wont vote Labour. So you're left with dyed in the wool ever shrinking socialists who have always been and always will be labour.

if ever diminishing survival is the ambition... it may just succeed, just.

I think you are confusing Labour rallies with Nuremberg in the 1930's? What's it like working for MSN btw
