I'd vote for a jam-jar full of tadpoles before voting for fracking Conservative.

If anyone can come up with just one pledge to Tories have delivered on, other than the badly worded referendum on Europe i'd be pleased to read it.

To link Corbyn with the previous Labour government is ridiculous. He was more of a critic of Blair than the Tories.
They were all pro Iraq war / spending / taxation / deregulation.

Maybe so but plenty of economists warned the government years in advance of the potential risk of banks creating too much money . But Blair was too weak and too busy with his own resume`so decided to cross his fingers and do nowt . Btw I bow to your superior knowledge.

"Argue and discuss differences of opinion. Lying about the character of others is beneath contempt."

    I wonder who said that?

Someone who thinks another person's "lack of understanding" is "pretty breathtaking"?

    Never mind.

I think we should stick to leaving personal attacks out of it.

Just can't help myself though. I'm gonna ban myself so I can snuggle up closer to Hemsie. And feel as one with him - y'know - with him being a regular sometime outcast.

We both come from Hemsworth. Which isn't the best start in life. But not the worst.

    Am I rambling?

    Yes.

No personal insult I was speaking purely from an economic point of view. There is no debate about the causes of tbe financial crisis within economic circles. So not to understand the basic facts is pretty breathtaking

Well you can count my own lack of understanding of the basic facts as pretty breathtaking too.

I would imagine if you stroll down Mexborough High Street with me next week at lunchtime and ask them about their understanding of the banking crisis, you will be in need of more than an oxygen tent.

You aren't free of Tory rule though you are directly voting for Tory rule by voting SNP. If you guys ever get independence and I'd like to see you have a go (even though fiscally I think you'd be up **** creek) then vote SNP in your own ejections, however for now voting the way you do in a UK general election and then complaining the tories are in power but it's nowt to do with you is just plain daft.

I'm afraid I do not agree with this.

Arabian Ian will not be sending me a Christmas Card, but nevertheless he wants independence for his country, even though he's in a minority, and his wish can only be expressed in a Krankie vote.

Let's not go into his ejections though - perhaps there'll be one when Andrew Neil interviews his muse.

I prefer reading the manifestos, listening and understanding who's going to make my life better, not believing everything I've heard or read in the tabloids.

Possibly best not to discuss something with you that you know nothing about then...I thought even those on Mexborough High Street had heard of sub prime mortgages.

Toby I'll send you a Christmas Card if that is what you want mate. ;)
Anyway I look forward to see how Nicola copes with the grilling from Andrew Neil. She has in the past been able to fight her corner. Although this could be her biggest test yet but I'm sure she will survive.

She can look after herself opinion wise.

Sadly I'm married to one too. got her own opinions.

What she doesn't do I(Nicola) is represent the whole of Scotland.

Who want to remain with us.

We voted by a narrow majority to leave the EU.

There has been no similar respect from our Nicola to respect the Scottish vote to stay with us. Only a weaselling way to try and get the Scots out of our Union.

Not that we care too much.

We only want to keep you on board if you share our values.

Actually I can tell you it was discussed at length outside Poundland earlier this week, can't see anyone wanting to cover old ground .
