    Why would you wait until the hospital was overrun? Cases continue to trend downwards. If they start to go up then bring in further restrictions. Risk will never be zero to anything.

    Just got back from Newquay - ended up going down last weekend. Easiest drive down ever - no traffic, no “sod off home” signs.
    We pretty much had the beach to ourselves. Went to a couple of bars and sat outside, systems in place, hand sanitiser available everywhere. Shops have queuing systems. Locals mainly pleased to see us. Other than a couple were determined to let us know they had lived there forever.
    So basically, it was a no problem trip. We kept to ourselves. Social distancing was a doddle.

    Many shops/ businesses in Newquay have closed permanently, which is sad to see. I’d say that Newquay needs tourists asap. I’d sooner go there (or somewhere else in this country) than be taking a flight anywhere.
