Such a strange decision to sell him (assuming we didn't have to). If Hull met the pre-agreed price then fair enough. He won the free kick for their first as well. Okay Wilks is not a world beater, and we don't miss him but this will make the board look very stupid when/if we don't stay up.
I don't think we should have sold Wilks to Hull, just as I thought we shouldn't have loaned Isgrove to Portsmouth last season. We got away with that one - let's hope we manage it again! As long as we keep winning it'll hopefully be immaterial.
Bizarre statement. We were bottom 7 points adrift. More than now so cannot be the case. It was the worst scenario from that match but everything is still in our own hands. Proper operation from some folk on here, forgetting we have just picked up 7 points from 9. Maybe Warnocks influence not what it was and Boros bubble including new manager bounce has just been well and truly burst. It will smash them mentally conceding so late. Onwards to survival.. you reds!!
Everyone was saying good bit of business 2 hour ago then bang. Probley still be waiting for money in 2023 aswell
Hull had an option to make permanent. Glad he has gone, not the type of player required at Oakwell. Plus he might still get sent down.
If we are reliant on other teams tripping up to keep us up then we deserve to go down IMO. Keep doing as we are at present and we will get out of this.
Sadly until we start overtaking teams above us we are still going to be relegated despite the lads best attempts thus far. Looks like fate conspiring against us at the moment
Another bizarre statement. Everybody in this division is a direct rival. He was complete dog doodah for us with zero effort. Plus Hull always had the contractual option to make the loan permanent.. Everybody was happy to see the back of him when he went on loan. My money is on Wigan, Luton, Stoke relegated. Have a little faith... Look at the determination and confidence now in the team and manager. Forget Wilks he matters not and never did..
The original decision to do business with Hull was fcking daft. But once that was in place there wasn't much we can do to stop the permanent sale this week.
Totally agree TM, we can't rely on any other teams doing us a favour. Our destiny is truly in our own hands. Keep our nerve play like we have been doing and taking one game at a time and see where that gets us. If we do go down, it's because of some of our disappointing displays earlier in the season.
Thats it show a little faith.. I repeat it is in our own hands.. we were 7 adrift prior to the restart completely written off. Never by me though. You reds!
