    Yorkshire have just confirmed Root is available for games 2-5 and 7. Brook is available for games 1-5. Along with the likes of Bean, Lyth, Masood and Malan, that's a cracking batting line up. Bowling wise Fisher will hopefully stay fit for longer this season. We might see more Bairstow than usual if his England days are numbered, once he's done with the IPL and T20 World Cup.

    Skybet have boosted Yorkshire to 5/2 to win the league. They should walk it.

    I've got my first ever membership this year - can't wait for next Friday. Even better now that we get to see Brook and Root! Just hope we are blessed with the weather to get the results.

    Did a few days at Headingley last year along with Scarbados and York. All great days out, apart from the terrible performance at York!

    If Malan was to be available for the County games, you’ve got to think Yorks. would win or certainly be very strong favourites.
    I wonder why he’s chosen the lucrative Hundred in warm sunny July/August and not the dark, cold and wet drizzley days of April ?

    Joking apart, he’s been our Counties best player with red and white ball codes since he came some 5 years ago.

    First match last season, we scored over 500 with Malan getting a good century and still lost !!
    Anyway, you’re right, we should be fancied.
    I reckon we need some runs from Root and Masood though.

    I hope Yorkshire do well but I won’t get excited about being potential favourites in the 2nd Division.

    Such a shame to see the most storied county in the Country in such a **** state.

    Ben Coad’s a massively underrated bowler. Look forward to seeing how he progresses this season.

    You don’t win anything on paper and I do feel early season games are often decided by bowlers rather than batters. But no excuses with the team we can put out early season.
