Here's your class. £82million Brazilian International goads championship opposition players following penalty shoot out win after being 3 up and imploding with 19 minutes remaining in normal time.
I've no issue with Man utd but they certainly weren't the better side' Cov were superb yesterday and deserved the win.
It's very hard to call, even with the benefit of VAR. Obviously there has to be a cut-off point somewhere, but I'd like to see the attacker given more of an advantage.
He's always been a dick. Wasn't so cocky last season when they got hammered 7-0 at Anfield, went missing all game. Like he tends to whenever they are losing.
I don't see why they can't stick a chip in players' boots and an impact sensor in the ball. Then you could have objective VAR decisions in seconds.
Irrespective of the fact that they are now in the final, that performance will mean its the end for Ten Haag. The final will be his last game.
Classless from top to bottom, 25% club included, hate them with a passion can't wait to see City dismantle them in the Cup Final.
It has to be. He is just not taking them forward at all. They are light years behind City and Liverpool. I was reading a few posts in twitter last night. To be fair to Utd fans, the general consensus was that they all thought Coventry deserved the win and that VAR is ruining the game. They were all a bit embassarred that they emerged victorious (as it seems the Utd players were) and no-one came out of it without any credit. And they all think Rashford is a waste of space.
Personally I'd get rid of the part that draws lines. It came with the fan fair of clear and obvious. If they are drawing lines it's not clear and obvious. Make a decision on a replay yes, but if they are discussing it at any length and needs these ridiculous lines, stick with the decision made on the field. Right now all that is happening is getting folk riled over the width of a toe nail or nats pube.
I agree with you about the toenail decisions, but I'm not sure how you do it other than with a line. Offside is one of the few non-subjective rules in football. There has to be a line drawn somewhere, no pun intended.
Offside is one of the few non-subjective rules, but it was a rule that was devised a long long time ago and designed to be enforced real time. Then there is also the question marks over whether the footage has been paused at the right time and whether the line is drawn in the correct place. Given that, there needs to be a % confidence level reached to be able to overturn an on field decision, similar to umpire's call in the cricket.
“I see the mistakes we make, we can’t look away from it, but it’s not an embarrassment. It’s a huge achievement” From ten Hag today, that's Collinsesque in deluded positivity. He'll be gone just after May 25th too.
Living in the midlands, there was a piece about Coventry on the local news which showed the VAR image of the "offside" which ruled out Coventry's winner. I hadn't realised that VAR was accurate enough to measure a player's toenails.
