Back to cricket why do England play all the big matches at Lords when they have such a poor strike rate there.

The umpires are getting worse. In no time at all they checked a batter hadn't hit it when it came clearly off the helmet, checked a catch that clearly carried and checked a run out when a foot was clearly planted in the crease.

I can see Football with VAR being the same with refs wanting you make sure on every little thing.

As opposed to other nations who never take a partizan approach their own nation's sporting success?

I know, I've played cricket all of my life. Literally. And it is a lovely thing. I stand fast on my original post which was intended as a genuine point of view.

It's the ICC that pick their own WC commentary team. It's the same set up wherever in the world it's being watched. If it was Sky choosing then their own like Gower, Beefy and Bumble will have been on.

I expect a rebate from my premium Sky subscription, then. Just checked the small print, and I can't find any reference to that.

That makes sense. And in any case I think the commentary team are just fine

I'm not sure that's true, it's a Star Sports production but isn't it then syndicated to the partner tv stations?

Go for it. I'm sure they will be devastated if you complain about it . Cricket commentary has always had ex-players from all over the world.

I demand the same answers from the ECB that Barnsley fans demand from our current owners. I'm sure our multi national owners from all over the world care about the social commentary of a mining town from northern England.

I'll stop moaning about the coverage if the moaners stop moaning about BFC ownership, because, **** happens, right?

Moan away mate, just not sure why you're getting your knickers in a twist about some of the best ex-pros from around the world commentating on a world cup final. If that's top of your priorities to complain about in life, I think you're a very lucky man...

This is going to go to the wire. We need to keep these two in as long as possible.

The systematic acceptance of failure in Barnsley is woryying.

Nerves for Stokes will have been his court case when he could have got locked up.

In comparison any nerves he's feeling now will be nothing.
