Who do you or anyone else read anything into win percentages? Obviously they’re a waste of time from the position that you can draw rather than lose lots of games & have a better record than someone who’s won more than you. But more importantly it all depends on circumstances. A manager could have us finishing 7th in league one every season & the win percentage would be brilliant & a lot better than someone who got us promoted first season & keeps us in the championship by finishing bottom half but above the drop zone even though they’re doing a worse job. They’re just one of them ridiculous stats, probably the second worst in football behind ‘if you take......... goals out ......... would be 30 points worse off & in the relegation zone’ as if they wouldn’t field 11 players
LJs football was the most turgid boring dross by a country mile, I was one of the unlucky ones that managed to stay awake during games.
It was to simply to make evident a point that I had tried to get across throughout the thread but to no avail. The post you quoted yourself goes far beyond win percentages as well.
Plus Kane Hemmings, Lalkovic, Frimpong, Liam Lawrence, Martin Woods, Nick Proschwitz (think Wilson signed all these) all garbage.
At least they were spread out over 6 months, we can sign that many crap players in one week these days.
Wasn't Ward brought in within a few matches of the season starting by which time we'd already got a couple of wins?
September but a reactive signing nonetheless. Dennis and others pointed to signings made by our rivals and how we didn’t follow suit until the season had already kicked off thus losing out on a full pre season and the start of the season.
20 years ago he was good done very little since then. That 2nd spell was terrible some of the worst football I've witnessed and you say put our promotion in place well he must of put chesterfields relegation in place.
Spreadsheet signing although danny would have had the final say. But who wouldn't want the midfielder with the most assists in league 2 the previous season and a wand of a left foot
