Thanks for finding this mate. He seems a very level headed and likeable kid. The skies going to be the limit for him

Excellent stuff Mr.Nutkins. Thanks for posting.

I've said it before, but its worth saying again.....massive credit to Dane and the Club for seeking the lad out, arranging the deal, looking after him and integrating him into the team and the town.

    Brilliant interview. Can't believe he's only 20.
What a crying shame for him and us that the odds on us being able to cheer him onto the pitch are very slim.

It is a shame that the only way we’ll get to show him our appreciation is with the slim chance he turns up as an opposition player next season. Either cos we’ve got promoted or in a cup game.

He really will feel the love though if he’s announced ‘making his return to Oakwell...’.

A very down to earth lad and speaks as you find him. Refreshing instead of the typical cliched interviews you often see in this country. Best of luck to him.

Good watch that. He certainly seems level headed & I could see him going to the very top, if he keeps learning. He knows he's not the finished article as yet.

From what I saw of college and MSL youth team players when in America I have to say how impressed I was by the way they conducted themselves. Very polite and well mannered.

    I love the guy!

However, I don't understand the USAMNT approach to the game at the moment. Whilst DD was in Northern Ireland on Sunday helping them to a friendly win, another USAMNT was missing out on the next Olympics by losing to Honduras. In the past, there was a restriction which only allowed amateurs in the Olympics, but that was removed years ago.

Is there an age limit for the soccer teams in the Olympics? Are there other restrictions?

I don't understand why they wouldn't put out a stronger team.

The Olympics is basically an U23 tournament, with a few over-age players allowed.

I thought it was something along those lines, but they could still have called on Pulisic, Dike, etc.

Maybe they're concentrating on building for the 2026 World Cup.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup starts in November(according to Wiki), so I'm wondering if they have made the decision to not have the same squads at both as to not wear out the payers and piss off the clubs?

    Edit:

Sorry, it says July on Wiki, not November...

Just enjoying him whilst he's here. I hope he starts with Morris and Woodrow on Friday.

Definitely this is no slant on Chaplin, Frieser or Adeboyejo but we need to play our best 11 from the start from now on.

As you should always play your best XI, but in Val we trust :)

In fairness to Val he's moved away from the blanket rotation gradually over the last few games. He seems to have staggered the subs and left those effecting the game on the field longer. Might be wrong but that's how it's seemed with Adeboyejo playing less minutes.
