Reading the Stoke forum yesterday and it seems he's third choice, a lot questioning why they bought him. Butland isn't liked though, a lot saying he should stop pratting about on twitter and be dropped after his recent performances.

It seems like they expected Butland to leave so signed Davies to be the new number 2 but Butland hasn’t ended up leaving.

I’ve never really got the Butland hype. Never looked any better than keepers who get nowhere near the same amount of praise

May be carrying an injury apparently. From a well connected Stoke fan.

The increased salary will compensate for the disappointment of not playing as far as Davies
was concerned. Lindsay played the full game in the 3-1 away loss to Charlton but didn't
    appear to do very much.

They lie second bottom of the table with no points. I can only see further upheaval for the Potters.
Given their poor showing last season and the way they've started this, surely it can't be long before
the Board sack boss Nathan Jones.?

Same scenario as Ipswich Town. They will regret sacking Gary Rowatt.

He had a mare on Saturday with Charlton's first goal, was straight at him and he didn't lay a glove on it.

He's on the bench tonight. Federeci getting a game ahead of him.

Federici is a good keeper too.

I reckon Butland will go in Jan - but it’s his wages that are the issue as well as needing 1st team football to keep his Euro 2020 dreams alive.

He’s better being 1st choice at Stoke, than 2nd choice in Prem and not playing I’d guess. I can’t see any Prem team needing a new 1st choice stopper atm.

Lindsay scored today. Now we didn’t see much of that.

Davies watching from the stands again, cracking move for the lad.

On Sky's " Goals Express", I'm sure it said that Hogan got both goals for Stoke matching Waghorns
double for the Rams. Apparently a goal bound header from Lindsay deflected off Hogan for
the first Stoke goal and it looks as though he's claiming it.

Looks like the 2 keepers we have brought in are quality, so not really missing him. I think it may turn out to be a bad move for him career wise, but good for his pension fund.

Agree JP but doesn't bode well for his future International ambitions, not that he's probably
ever going to be first choice for Wales that is.

Just watching stoke at Preston on tv, if Davies is the third best keeper at stoke they’ve got some problems!

Butland is having a right stinker

Cant understand moving somewhere to be the Jake Greatorex of the team. Surely you must feel out of things as third choice after being 1st choice .

Who says he likes playing football? Can’t be bad being paid thousands of pounds a week to do nothing and stay in shape in your 20s.
