Ye it’s brilliant, thanks to everyone who played a part in putting it together, looking forward to getting the dvd
I'm not really an emotional man, but you had me close to tears on a number of occasions. Thank you so much, the work you've put in is incredible, and the film was amazing. Well done all.
You're all too kind. We're incredibly proud of it & chuffed that the reaction has been so overwhelmingly positive. More news soon on DVD dates etc. I'm so tired.
I honestly can't understand anyone advancing the theory that Morgan didn't deliberately intend to elbow Hume. When he played for us , a lot of his mates used to stand on the Ponte Road end. They would encourage Morgan to deliberately foul their forwards re- " go on, break his legs Chris." etc. He loved it and the way he pulled his elbow back and smashed Hume in the skull, told me it was intentional all right. What upset me, was he didn't even get a card and post the event, no apology was forthcoming from Sam Ellis, Kevin Blackwell or Morgan himself. I was at Wembley when Burnley beat them in the play offs which went some way to temper my frustrations.
Not at all happy. Had to sit there on Saturday night for the thick end of two hours biting my tongue like a b$tard so as not to rooer like a bairn. What’s tha think tha laikin at , Dyson?
Ha sorry pal. The most wonderful part of the last week has been seeing how emotional people have got - so many laughs, sharp in takes of breaths & the odd sniffle too. A wonderful week & one I'll never forget.
Cracking effort by all the team. I can’t begin to imagine how much work has gone into this - alongside the day job and what would have been family life before The Project came along. I only wish I’d been involved! Hope you get a great deal of satisfaction from having brought such a lot of enjoyment to so many people and from raising a few quid (again) for a great cause. And it’s all been possible because we have the greatest football club in the world. The Reverend Preedy would have been proud of your efforts.
Just out of interest we’re there a few players who wouldn’t / couldn’t be part of it? Was a bit surprised Watson & Sheridan weren’t interviewed in it. I’m guessing Bullock was out of reach in New Zealand. From the players John Hendrie & De Zeeuw were superb, the bit with Scott Jones had me nearly in tears again & John Dennis & Danny Wilson came across really well. Only one I wasn’t that keen on was Biggs who seemed like he wanted to take credit for everything, maybe I’m a bit biased because I don’t like him on Twitter.
We couldn't get hold of Watson & couldn't get Shez lined up either. He was gutted when he saw it that he wasn't included but we could've gone on forever. Same for Wilkinson. Scott Jones is fantastic in it - just see what that part of his life means to him. Get your point about Alan but he's a genuinely lovely fella & he helped us out massively - I do think some of those comments are based on him on Social Media too as he seems to get a bad rep.
Probably teaching granny to suck eggs here, but I imagine it would go down a storm at the Parkway cinema in town if it was possible to get it shown there
Cheers, wondered if Watson might have refused because he seems to stay out of the limelight. Hopefully Sheridan talks about it on Parkin’s podcast. Thanks again, loved it
