No, it was a right laugh, showing them up for the two-bob hoodlums they are. Particularly enjoyed the soppy **** who rejoiced in the fact that I couldn't have been at the game as I'd posted something on there at 3.35pm....until I pointed out the post was from Saturday. Thicker than the thickest of pigshit. I hope they and their club spontaneously combusts. No doubt that would be someone else's fault as well....

But it would be deemed justified provocation.

Each to their own Im a nice guy I don't cause trouble but if someone hit me they would be getting on back. Wethe it be in town, supermarket or a football stadium if you let people hit you and walk away that's up to you i personally wouldn't.

Because they were our allocated seats perhaps?

They weren't allowed to move ,that's where they were put to fill the seats in the eyeline of the cameras, if they had tried to move they would have been asked to leave.
Didn't you see the black netting covering seats either side of the fans?

I understand the allocated seats principle but when there are thousands of empty seats alongside where you are it doesn't take much to move away from potential trouble does it? I'm not saying that the thugs would have left them alone but at least if you put some distance between them and you then it's a start. It's normal at any ground to see a brainless element of the home support position themselves as close to the away support as possible but that usually just involves chanting at each other rather than hand to hand violence. Good job they didn't have a few flares or smoke bombs to lob over.

Yes I saw it but there's nothing to stop them asking the stewards for a safe escort to the other side of that netting. I know I would have wanted as much space between me and the knuckle draggers as possible

Let me get this straight. We are now blaming every Barnsley supporter who bought a ticket in the upper tier, for not ignoring stadium policy and moving seats? There was a block and a half of them up there.

I was sat up there. I underestimated the severity of it until I saw the reactions of the some the women and children in our end, then I was hit by a coin. My first thoughts were that I wasn't going to let that detritus force me into moving seats until I realised it was pointless.

I have nothing but contempt for Millwall Football Club and the untermensch who follow them.

I have been told although not by someone directly involved that permission was asked and refused.
As I say this is second hand so holding my judgement a bit but if true that is diabolical . and it would explain why women and kids were still there after the coin throwing incidents.

It also doesn't make them out to be what dome other posters have accused them of because they chose to stay where they were put though does it ?
Point is choose what is said they were not on the same level as the Millwall scum as some ate making out in their " report the Barnsley fans as well " posts.

Can't believe that requests to move on safety grounds would be refused. If so people on the Wembley staff need sacking

Wembley put them there for a reason , money, prestige always comes before safety until something happens. I can well believe it tbh.

I think this sums things up perfectly. I abhor violence at football and I'm the first to criticise our nutters when they cause trouble but everything I've seen in footage and with my own eyes at Wembley leads me to the conclusion that the Barnsley fans were just doing what most blokes would have done in the same situation.

Had I been up in that block I think I'd have probably done exactly the same.

You'd struggle to find a set of supporters who wouldn't have reacted in the same way in the same situation. Many much worse.

After the game outside wembley park tube I saw abit of bother a old cockney ended up with a smack in mouth after calling folk nothern ****s. He was in his 50s too he really should have known better. Also we had been in the ground threw all the celebrations and presentations must have been a good half hour plenty of time for the millwall to be back in bermondsey but no some waited to give grief. The day from a fans mixing perspective was worse than Cardiff just hassle all day
