Are there any drawings of the plans yet? All I can find are some articles somewhat describing what they are planning, but nothing seems to have any sketches/drawings of what the new layout would be.

With various options as to how the non-road space is to be used. This is Option 1.
Sorry Mr Gally - thought you were the heir to the Gallagher fortune! Seems we are in for a f*****g big gyratory roundabout! Be OK if it works like J37 Signalisation, but you kind of feel the law of unintended consequences may come into play. Can I tap your brother up for some discount for our refit next year?
Not at the moment. There are road works and temporary lights between Dark Lane and Broadway at the moment meaning there's only traffic in one direction at a time there.
13 is a footpath to Poggy Rec so has to be the path going off the plan near top right. Presume the 13 is just off shot.
What else could they do that was affordable? I live a quarter of a mile from there and use the crossroads everyday for work, takes me longer to get through those lights than it does to get from J37 to Meadowhall, or sometimes the M621 in the opposite direction. It’s improved as well since they’ve installed lights on the roundabout.
Answer is for more folk to bike and use the bus not to consume yet more green spaces. I live on Dodworth Road and this will not reduce the traffic flow a jot, but will destroy a vauled area. No easy answer but cars are strangling the place.
Think the only problem I can see is the fact that barnsley is one of the only few places that doesn't have a park n ride on the outskirts surely this would take quite a bit of pressure of the entrance and exit roads seen it in other towns & cities through work. I mean public transport apart from possibly 400m of road throughout town is queuing with the rest so no incentive to use it surely if you speed up public transport then more people will use it. If you male it quicker for cars then more people will dump the bus n use there own vehicle to get to and from work. Potentially a full bus takes 50 cars of the road per route from a park n ride. Wonder if this has been thought about at Dodworth instead of all these alterations..
I hate to hear about fellow reds struggling. Drop me a line if you have to go out and I’ll send one of my helicopters for you. Also, let me know what colour grapes you like.
In the barnsley chronicle it states that that was once one of the options Personally, I.think that the extension of the south Yorkshire super tram from dsa via manvers then to penistone would create several park and ride opportunities
