I don't give a ****. It's the club going straight back up that interests me. I stopped caring about players a long time ago. Use them like they use us.
Granted I can only see a portion of the full report, but it comes across as poor journalism IMHO. More like an opinion piece than a match report. Reading between the lines, there's a sense of frustration that you usually only see posted in football forums. His comments about zonal marking are a bit premature. Of course the players are making mistakes, it's a new system and they're having to find their feet a bit. Nothing to wail about.
Because he trusts the word of one twitter user rather then the CEO and coaches of Barnsley FC. Obviously.
Just tell people that he's Jacob Brown on loan from Chelsea and people will give him a season to get going and even when he doesn't after a whole season they'll say he's young and we should sign him anyway
He certainly is no fan of the Reds and his knowledge of Zonal Marking is weak to say the least. I wonder if he has any sort of Coaching qualification? Anyone got his e mail address so I can ask him.
Coincidentally he's actually a Coventry fan which probably explains why he slagged Barnsley off so much when his team had beaten us
No I do not, but its not Jacobs fault is it . I argued on here till I was blue in the face to keep Bradshaw but he has gone, but that does not warrant a pop at Jacob Brown .
To precis : Bloke moves to foreign country, takes time in answering questions in the new language to make sure he answers well = incompetence Young lad in 1st start misses chances he gets on the end of = destined for Non league. My Conclusion : O'Kane is a c.u.nt
These are the main two problems in the article for me. Jacob Brown player brulliantly coming on against Scunthorpe but because he missed a lot of chances against Coventry he’s destined for none league football? And then basically calling Stendel incompetent for taking 20 seconds or so to answer a question is unbelievable considering he didn’t speak English before he came here 4 month ago and now he’s doing interviews. The journo is a proper t***er.
I seem to remember, when he was understudy to Andrew Lodge at the Chronicle, that it was mentioned he was a Blunt after he did a match report when Lodgey was on his hols or summert. Seem to remember Lodgey admitting he was a Blunt but defended his reporting.
I haven't criticised him. I said "He's probably as frustrated as me that we are having to play Jacob Brown". I would imagine the kid himself doesn't think he's as good as Tom Bradshaw or a replacement of similar quality yet.
Always makes me laugh when the press have a go at the zonal marking system when a team concedes using it, but you never hear the same when goals are conceding using man-marking.
